    Food Stuffs
  • 2-1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp white sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 8 tlbs cold water
    Seasonings
  • 1 tsp salt
    Equipment
  • food processor
  • measuring cup
  • measuring spoon
    Steps for Completion
  1. Add the flour, salt, and sugar to the food processor. Pulse a few times until blended.
  2. Cut up the butter into small pieces. Add half the butter to the flour mixture and pulse a few times. Add the rest and pulse some more.
  3. Add four tlbs of the cold water and pulse a few times. Add the rest of the water, 1 tlbs at a time, and pulse until the mixture sticks together when pressed between your fingers. Do not add too much water.
  4. Pour out the mixture and squeeze together into 2 equal sized balls. Knead the dough a bit.
  5. Ideally, you should let the dough refrigerate for 2 hours but we both know you did not plan this far ahead. If you did refrigerate it, let it warm up on the counter for 10 minutes. Sprinkle flour on your surface so it does not stick and roll out the dough.
  6. When cooking the pie crust, make sure not to overcook it.
